Press Release
'Website Offers alternative to Local Directories and Search Engines'
Middlesbrough, United Kingdom January 2009- Lepang Baker was getting tired of having to call many different numbers in the directory and scrolling through possible tens of search engine results whenever he needed a service. His frustration drove him to create a solutionwww.yobudget.com which is to be launched January 31st 2009.
The aim of the site is to help people and companies to save time & money by allowing customers to post jobs that need doing at their desired budget and date for free and receive quotes from relevant businesses/service providers. After service providers/businesses provide their initial quotes, other interested businesses will enter a bidding contest in attempt to win over the customer. The customer then chooses the quote that suits their budget and (or) specification.
The site also allows businesses, tradesmen and professionals to get job free job leads and build successful portfolios through robust rating and the two way feedback system that lasts up to 6 months after the job is completed. 'The robust two ways feedback tool is to help customers and service providers make informed decisions ' added Lepang.
Both customers and businesses have an opportunity to be improving their performance rank on the site's ranking table which is updated every 24 hours. Businesses/service providers get free unique customized profiles to showcase their work which can potentially improve their chance to be chosen for the work which has a networking tool as an added advantage.
Lepang Baker of yobudget.com added ‘the site is free, really easy to use, saves time’ he continued ‘ and with the trend decline of traditional directories and the undesirable economic state, yobudget is can prove to be a very useful tool to use’.

Gearing up for launch!
We're working on a 'middle-ground' portfolio behind the scenes in anticipation for the launch, we've been told that a lot of people are finding the 5.8% fee a little harsh, and while this is one of the lowest fees in our market (and also VAT exempt at the moment), we can appreciate this might be offputting to some of our service providers and business members.
We're planning to introduce a small monthly package that is by no means compulsory, but will give businesses and service providers a number of perks within regards to their profile and also reduce this job fee to something much more managable, so frequent users and winners on the site can instead choose to pay a small monthly fee and recieve a cheaper rate on jobs and a number of other perks, including SMS text alerts directly to your mobile and more.
We haven't finalized all the details yet - but you heard it here first!
Thanks again for all your support and be sure to spread the word to anyone you think could benefit prior to our launch!

We've unlocked an accolade: 250 registered users!
We've hit another little milestone in our growth and managed to scoop up 250 registered users prior to launch with still little to no publicity as we ride out the rest of our public testing phase.
We consider the site fully functional, so you can register and start using it right away (just think of us like all the other fashionable web 2.0 sites with the never-ending beta phase), there are a lot of advantages of doing so and if you have a look at a few member profiles we're sure one or two will become obvious immediatly.
Can you see anything?
We've added a series of micro-rewards, or 'accolades' as we like to call them to the site, it's mostly a way of giving positive feedback to members for using the site and helping others, a perfect example would be a user who always gets 5/5 feedback for the quality of work could get an accolade to reflect this, for example 'Perfectionist', which is a fun and recognised way of our users getting feedback in order to win them more jobs.
We've also made some adjustments to the control panel pages to make them much more convenient and pave the way for the multi-user features we are working on.
Remember, the Xmas special is ending soon, so take advantage while you can!
